We have so many questions, tell me everything!
Of course we had to go big — so we’re getting married in Italy!
When we lived abroad wee were lucky enough to travel to several European Alps destinations in the winter time to pull Uzair away from work.... and ski our faces off.
One of the most special places we visited was the town of Corvara, in the heart of The Alta Badia ski resort (part of the incredible Dolomiti Superski).
We’ll be celebrating in the charming mountain town of Colfosco, just above Corvara in the Dolomites, the Italian Alps. Corvara is about a 2-hour drive from Venice (and a slightly longer journey from other major airports), but we promise the views are worth it. More logistics (Uzair’s favorite) to come, but for now, please make sure your passport is valid through October 2027.
March weather in the mountains can be a bit unpredictable — expect cool temps and the occasional precipitation, but pray for snow. Not all activities will be ski-focused, but for those who are inclined, bring your gear (or take advantage of inexpensive local rentals) and experience the perfectly groomed corduroy of Dolomiti Superski. We’ll have long lunches at mountain rifugi, and a vintage-themed après-ski party you won’t want to miss.
Start planning your outfits now — there will be prizes.
The formal matrimonio will take place on Saturday, March 20th, 2027.
We’ve arranged special rates for four-night stays and have a full weekend planned with plenty to do and a few surprises along the way. We recommend arriving on Thursday, March 18th and departing Monday, March 22nd to make the most of it. And if you’re tempted to linger a little longer… we fully support that. Just let us know. Più giorni, più divertimento (more days, more fun)!
We’re arranging room blocks at a selection of hotels from charming, family-run boutique stays to a few of our absolute favorites in the world. We’re currently working behind the scenes to secure preferred rates for everyone, so stay tuned for details. Check out our Travel page for all lodging options. Our goal is to keep everyone close together… because we plan to celebrating with each and everyone one of you is our highest priority.
We will provide all details for each activity and what the suggested attire will be to ensure everyone can look their best but more importantly, be comfortable, and WARM. A nice pair of sturdy winter boots would be ideal as weather conditions are variable.
We have created a few moodboards on Pinterest to help guide in you in your packing decisions.

We adore your children, but we’ve chosen to make our wedding weekend an adults-only affair. Think of it as a little getaway; we can’t wait to celebrate with you. Thank you for understanding.
Short answer: probably not.
We’re planning things so everyone is staying close together, and most events will be easily walkable or a quick shuttle ride away. The area is very accessible, especially if you’re skiing.
If you’re planning to explore beyond the group plans or extend your stay, having a car could be helpful, but for the wedding weekend itself, you should be just fine without one.
